Thanks for sharing!
As ever, everyone is going ‘it’s not really that fast given the power’ but if your just after speed, there are far more different fixes out there.
Nice to see a mention of ‘Theatre’ and hinting that it’s more than just a sports car.

Just sent in the tech form to run my '15 at VIR club days this season. Be interesting to see how it compares. I suspect I could drive someone else's car much closer to the edge than my own.

I will never have opportunity to do a 'lightning lap' but they hit the nail on the head:

"The Jaguar is at its best when you're enjoying the drama it creates—the thundering V-8, the beautiful styling, the sense of occasion it adds to any drive"

Oh dear. I suppose I always knew I could kick my own *** if I were driving something else. So be it. Still not swapping out the old girl... plus I kind of get a kick out of the underdog suit.

The fastest car on the track isn't going to be the car that's the most fun on the street. But we all know that...

Love the balance the Brit's strike in their sports cars. Always have, always will.

Let's be honest, the F-Type is as much as show piece as it is a sports car. We all knew that going in, and it's what makes the car unique.

On this forum I've read that some members say that Porsche owners give us more than the passing glance out of jealousy. And honestly, who cares how fast Cindy Crawford can run the 40?

I had a very fast SLK55 AMG with 418 naturally aspirated horsepower. I must say I enjoyed it but only kept it 20 months before having to have my F Type, which is now on year 7. The longest I have ever owned a car!

I think we are all here because we want more than just stats and lap times from our driving experience. I love seeing how well-balanced and adept the F-Type is on a track, but I would never give up the style and driveability and soundtrack for a couple more seconds off a lap. C&D is right on... it's better to leave the stopwatch at home and measure it in smiles-per-mile.

I suspect running on better tires than the P-Zeros would have improved lap times.

Exactly this. I know the F-type is not supposed to be a dedicated track car but I still cant understand why Jaguar went with the Pirelli Zeros. They are HORRIBLE "performance" summer tires. I have Michelin Pilot sports on my GT350 and its night and day. Ive had the Pirelli Zeros on previous cars also and they have all been beyond terrible. They perform like all seasons. Blows my mind how manufacturers choose the P zeros over Michelins.
