My F-Type R came from the factory with a noise from the subwoofer area that sounded like a bad speaker or something loose. When I took it to the dealer they said it is a known problem and in some cases they have not been able to fix it. Anyone have a similar issue and found a fix?

 

There are many threads on the issues with F-Type speakers buzzing/sounding blown/generally sounding like crap. Without knowing the year and type of your car (coupe or convertible), there is a huge amount of guessing. People have taking to installing sound deadening matting, changing speakers, and a few other things.

 

Glad to announce the sub was faulty from the factory. It was replaced and fortunately no more rattles which they told me wasn't a given.

 

What model/year is your F-Type?

 

It's a 2020 F-Type R. Now that I can get some bass and balance the system properly I'm much happier. Especially pleased since the service department wasn't giving me a lot of hope.
