In the July 22nd episode of the sci-fi series EXTANT, the good guys were looking for one of their own somewhere in the "bad part" of town; perhaps not coincidentally they were driving a Range Rover, ya gotta wonder about that. But anyhow, way in the background, in a mostly empty parking lot, was a red F-type vert.

 

The latest Fast and Furious (Furious 7 or whatever it's called) has the main bad guy driving the F-Type in the opening scene. I wouldn't be surprised if more movies start showing the F-Type, especially British based movies.

 

Looks like the new Bond movie has him driving an F-Type coupe.
