Until we eliminate the Peak Torque Limiter from the hydraulic circuit, we really won't know how bad the clutch is. Cambo is helping me to find the part number for that unit. I will order one for disassembly to determine the best way to overide the limiter.

Good deal.

We can assume based on the supercharger displacement what max tq will be and safely overbuild the clutch (disk/PP). Mind as well get one on order now.

Thanks

I think it is safe to assume that a 400 lb-ft clutch would be the right choice. The transmission will be a limiting factor at anything over that. The problem is that no one carries aftermarket clutch kits for these cars yet, so just ordering is out of the question. We need a used or new stock clutch/pp (and throw-out cylinder) for measurement to send out to have a custom performance kit built.

That is 100% the plan.

Any update on this? It looks like I'll be going to a 1/2 mile event on April 2.

Where will the event be? In the Bay Area?

First we need to determine if the Clutch Delay Valve (Jag calls it a Torque Peak Control valve) is the culprit for the launch slippage. Given the 2 foot of snow in front of the garage door, and no place to go tomorrow, I will have the time to launch into this project to perform a valve delete. Unfortunately, it may be a couple weeks before the snow in the driveway melts enough for F-Type passage, so I won't be able to test it until then. If that doesn't work, I will visit with VMax to see if he has time to participate in this project within the short term. If not, I have someone else lined up.

BTW, you might find a short shifter handy for your runs. As soon as the roads clear enough for me to get to my local tuner, we will be test fitting a short shifter that Fidanza put together for me to test. If we can get it sorted, Fidanza has promised discount on a group buy.

No, Bakersfield-ish. Shafter specifically. omegamotorsport.com has the dets.

Yes, short shifting is on my mind as well... If I had a garage up here, I'd already be in there to at least see how it's all put together.

The V8 car arrives at the shop this week to begin prototype fab. We are a week behind with the exhaust fabs but should still be able to deliver for the V6 cars prior to that date. We'll keep you posted and throw up some development pics when possible.

Thank You
VMax

VMax, do you have a diagram or sketch of where the long-tube headers will tie into the remainder of the OEM exhaust system?

For V8 cars this should be a no brainer.
