Flaking paint?

Default Flaking paint?

Ive noticed what seems to be the clear coat Flaking off around the headlight washers. Have any of you experienced anything like this? If so, is it something that's covered by warranty?

Apparently not....this looks like minor stone damage that has started deterioration of the clear coat...but is this factory paint? Could the front have had a new clear coat?

It doesn't look like rock chip damage. Look right below and to the left of the headlamp washer flap.That's definitely clear coat failure. You could try to ask the dealer to cover that, but who knows.

That's exactly what I was thinking. The service advisor said, "we'll buff it out"... 🤔

Just curious if anyone has ever filed any type of paint issue warranty repair.

This type of paint failure has been covered under warranty for others and in most cases was caused by two body panels rubbing up against each other (typically where the lower rocker panel meets the rear body shell just behind the door. In your case, it looks like the headlamp washer is fitting too tightly into the bumper shell causing the clearcoat to chip off at the edges when they are deployed and retracted. Buffing won't solve the problem without reapplying clearcoat on the edges,.
