Flat tire
Well, I finally had a flat tire on the '16 Coupe. Barely made it into a parking lot, with 7 lbs. showing on the dash warning, and counting down rapidly. The air pump could not keep up with the leak, which I could easily hear. I rolled the car forward and found the leak, which looked like a clean puncture. I didn't want to use the slime, but I didn't have anything in the car for a temporary fix. I stopped a young man in a pickup, with a tool box in the bed, overcame the language difference, and borrowed an old roofing nail. I put the nail in the hole, and pumped the tire up to 47 lbs. It held pressure for the 15 mile trip to Discount Tire, and they provided a free repair. So, I guess I'm either going to carry a plug kit, or some roofing nails, for emergencies.
I bought a Dynaplug kit and a nail pulling pliers which I keep in the pump bag with a waterproof flashlight. I can plug a nail hole in two minutes, inflate and be on my way. I can have it fixed at my leasure.
