Foam Circle Found in Driver's Side Footwell

Foam piece from driver's side

Does anyone know where this came from? I got my instrument cluster cover reupholstered the other day and I don't know if I dropped this from that area. I found it in the driver's side footwell.

Looks like a bonnet 'bump stop' for one of the four adjustment points. See pic
