My wife drives a 2014 Lexus RX which has, like our F-Types, folding side view mirrors. Like the F-Type, the mirrors automatically fold inwards when leaving and locking the vehicle. Additionally, there is a button in the RX which permits on demand mirror folding which she utilizes to minimize the possibility of damage when she pulls in the garage. Just wondering if the F-Type has such an on demand option.

The buttons that control the side view mirrors. One for the left mirror, one for the right mirror. Push them both simultaneously and the side view mirrors fold/unfold.
