Default Ft Type Rising Air Vents

As the reliability of the rising air vents has been in doubt, i decided to opt for "Always open" in the Settings optio.
The car decided to ignore my request and the vents open and close on start up and switch off.

Any ideas?

The “always open” function just mean that it will rise up whenever the HVAC is on.it will always close once the HVAC system is turned off.

You don't say if you have a coupe or soft top, but in the coupe, unless you have "always open" set, they will rise when the weather gets warm as, IME, they only pump cold air to cool the cabin (cold air falls so it seems logical. The automatic operation lets me know when we're out of winter (they never rise during our winter). So if you're aiming for maximum reliability, the riser motor will do less work if you don't set "always open".

Mine still works fine after 7 years (hope that doesn't jinx it!).
