.......perseverates! The search is over! Found my unicorn!
2017 F type R. Sending payment this afternoon. Hope to have it delivered early next week. I had focused on an AWD S, but this R was too good an opportunity to pass up. Great service history, great seller, great price, CPO through 7/22. A little nervous about stepping up to an R, but as is often said, we only live once!

Great looking car!
I’ve been on the hunt too just recently for an R. You must have snapped that one up pretty quickly as I didn’t see it.
Most seem to be black or white, so the silver is a great change. (My last car was white, my XK black so my new to me R is Italian red!)

Thanks everyone! I feel very blessed to have been given the opportunity to purchase this car. Its been a long search and I've worked hard to save the extra funds. I'm very much looking forward to the experience each day and no longer living through the experiences/reviews of others on youtube!

These cars look fantastic in silver. It was my second choice after mid-life crisis red. Shows the curves, not the dust, and stays relatively cool in the sun, matches my hair, what's not to like?

agreed.

The first two are pre VAP coils/spacers and other mods, but you get the idea...

I like the black exhaust tips, how did you do that?

While your car is perfect, I would wrap the sills in gloss black and leave the edge silver, to continue with the black pack theme and also give the car its nice waist. Very cheap (approx $200) and fully reversible mod.

Took some measurements, ordered black tips with carbon outer sleeves, and then cut the chrome tips off and welded adapters on for the new tips. They are like 5mm wider than stock.

I plan on blacking out the sills as soon as budget allows. I agree, she will look much slimmer. I'd prefer to remove them, but from what I've read here in the forums, its a chore.

Yeah I've done it to both my Jags and really like the effect. I think the black narrow sills of the F Type when it first came out looked best, these ones you and I have are very wide. I tried wrapping them myself but the contours are a little hard, in the end I paid for it to be done (about $200) and it came up very nicely and has held no problem for 4 years now. I also wrapped the roof pillars black which flattens out the car nicely (in my view), but one step at a time! Considering the black tips after seeing your pics.

Just my luck. Transport pick up scheduled for Wednesday this week, just as a nice Winter storm is hitting the area! Hope the driver uses good judgement and postpones pick if the roads are bad. Fingers crossed for a safe delivery! Glad I spent the extra on enclosed transport.

Safely on board and on her way this morning! Of course, Mother Nature has to send a blizzard to make things interesting! I can't say enough good things about this owner! He has been amazing. He went out at 6AM this morning to shovel his drive in prep for the load and then staying outside in the blizzard to take several videos and photos of the car pre load and during the loading process.
