With BC Forged, you can get fully forged wheels just south of $4k... I'd argue if you're going to spend 4k for looks and unsprung weight savings, a fully forged wheel is probably a good place to start if you don't already have some lightweight wheels.
I'd be in for a set of,
Super Performance Brakes: 380/376
if this deal goes through.

Wayne - this particular group buy is for the high performance size wortec rotors...the super performance group buy was in 2018 I think. However, you are in luck that you can get the super performance without a minimum purchase. The only reason we need 10 is because the high performance rear rotors are smaller than the super performance...which means wortec has to do R&D and invest to get those made for us. If we get at least 5 people interested in the fronts (since high and super are the same rotor) we can get a volume discount. I think we are at 3 potentially that would like the fronts. You could also add the rear to your order but benefit from the discount on the fronts if we get to 5+.
Bruce - I've been looking for forged wheels online and I cannot seem to find 20", correct bolt patters, and rim dimensions. The ones that I do find are typically 2000k+ EACH. Any links you can provide that sell 20" and I can reuse my brand new 20" MPSS please share.
.
Jaggyx has made a suggestion for 20"s, I went with Vorsteiner 21's which imported to Oz, at our exchange rate (your buck is worth more than ours) came in at $6K odd with Michelin PSSeses on them. I'd have though around $4K in your money with tyres on.
do any sites list the wheel weights for the vorsteiner or VS or BC forged or even the stock wheels? I have had zero luck finding the weights of different wheels. There are some nice wheels out there under 1k each, but I cant purchase without knowing the weight savings...I like the wheels I have but I know they are heavy.

I'd call BC Forged. Their HQ is in Florida. Each design has it's own weight, obviously.
I could never find it either, here is a thread where someone else weighed their 19 inch Vorsteiners (they come in 19's and 21's) https://f80.bimmerpost.com/forums/sh....php?t=1092326. As you will see under 23 pounds each. Here is a weight chart for Michelins https://tiresize.com/tires/Michelin/...uper-Sport.htm. I suppose though that in my case I got much wider wheels as well to fill out the wheel arches. That would have taken weight back up a bit, though it still feels much lighter than OEM

bummer that they dont make 20s...that ups the total cost about 1200 for new rubber.
They can't be that heavy. That'd be insane. Probably 32+ lbs for sure though. A 20 inch forged wheel should run low 20's.
+1. The VS03 9.5” & 11” wheels are 21.8 & 24.4 lbs (exactly 10lbs lighter each than Gyrodynes) and came in around $2400. VS also offers any size & offset
VS is a great option, but last time I checked, their wait times were 12 weeks. I went with BC Forged because I'm not patient enough to wait 12 weeks. BC's are about 4 weeks from order to door.

When I placed an order for my car (MT) in November 2014, I had to wait 7 months for it to arrive. 3 months for wheels didn’t seem so bad,

I'm not all that patient either, but the car will soon be going away for a few months to hibernate so the timing might be perfect. I'd even say Id like to drive with the tune/pulley after that is done (spring) then see if there was an improvement in performance/handling going from tune/pulley to lighter wheels. Maybe by then we will even have 10 people interested in high performance wortec rotors!
So I just got a reply for wortec, they will allow me to purchase just the front rotors, as I’m not interested in rear (cost reasons). So put me down on the list. I don’t mind waiting for a month or 2 because I’m buying new rims, looking at signature sv701 wait time is 4-5 weeks there exactly 10lbs lighter per rim but those VS rims are a nice price, 2400$ vs $3500. 12 weeks wait! I’m gonna call and confirm that.

I will keep a running list of people that are interested in front or rear or both. Once we give it another couple weeks we will see where we are and make a decision at that time if we have an opportunity for a group buy. If not, I guess we will order what we want on our own (of what they already have which is super perf ONLY front/rear)

Reducing the unsprung weight by 80 pounds (all rotational mass), after the tune/pulley has been in effect for awhile , definitely improves the perceived acceleration.
is it wrong to not want to buy wheels that you might see on a tesla or a challenger or a camaro? I am seeing the VS Forged on a lot of other model cars (online that is) and I am torn between being able to find something under 9k and not pulling up to a light next to a souped up civic with the same wheels. Has anyone else struggled with this dilemma? Is the way to avoid this by spending 2k PER wheel?
