My car is still sitting in "Port Recall" So next monday it will be 1 month it is sitting. JLR is evasive about when or if they will ever release the car.

Starting to consider not accepting the car. Looks like my dealer will have to sit with it in stock all winter before someone else will buy it.

If it were my car I would cancel. Who knows where it has been or how it has been handled over the past 30 days especially since there appears to be a period of time when it could not be located. Plus the fact they cannot even give you an estimate of when you might be able to take delivery. That is really not acceptable!

Sorry to hear this.
I'd suggest contacting Jaguar NA and insisting on understanding why it was sitting in port for that long and telling them you will not accept the car without an explanation.
It's usually more constructive to take this up directly with them rather than to involve the forum in a public spat, because they will be forced to be defensive in public whereas they can be constructive with you as a buyer in private (eg discounts or freebies).

Good luck

Curious as to whether your dealer contacted you that it cleared customs or you have just been tracking the ship. Biltmore should be decorated for Christmas now. I envy you.

My ship is just pulling in to Baltimore tonight and then goes to Charleston and then Brunswick arriving 12/3 (was scheduled for 12/1).

Can you post how long it takes you to receive the car after clearing Customs? Do you really think it will be as quick as Monday?

Unlike some things - awaiting an upcoming vacation, a new electronic device, or a new F-Type - where the pending excitement outweighs the "actual event or acquistion" I have no doubt that getting and driving your new automobile will exceed the anticipation of getting it.

Good luck PD2911!!!

The excitement comes from walking up to and into it, while the enthusiasm - and commenstruate smiles and immense pleasures - comes from driving it . But I get your point and concur.

Default Actually Here Now

Vesselfinder.com showed that the Elektra arrived at Brunswick on Nov 25. The car got to the dealer today, Dec. 1. Probably the customs people at the port were off on Thanksgiving as Federal employees. So the time from Brunswick to the Tampa dealer was likely 3 to 4 working days. Dealer will take one day to prep it. Finally... original order date on F Type Coupe V6S was early August and the build was in early September. There was a 30 day delay for the recall. It's a long wait, but, on the other hand, in the Tampa area, I have not seen one F Type Coupe on the road during the last four months. They are rare.

Thanks for the update. My ship is currently in Charleston and arrives in Brunswick on Wednesday 12/3. As of this morning my dealer is showing and ETA of 12/10 but states the status will not change until the dealer receives the invoice for payment. I hope I can take delivery early next week.
