If it is 2015 engine, make sure to change coolant pipes, as both your car and this engine have premature failure parts. I think you are clear on water pump, but I would change it just because it is easy to do now. They are known weak part on early AJ133 engines.

Well done! I paid 11k for a 40k mile AJ133. Would have preferred your motor. Again. Nice work!

Also, kudos for keeping your F-type alive and not buying another.

The Richard Mille watch at the low end is $75k. You achieved that look for alot less! Just can't wear it on your wrist.

Pre owned! New nothing under $115k! Before I retired I managed a high end jewlery store that sold Audemars Piguet and Richard Mille among others. I sold a $500k RM tourbillon, it took 4 months to make deal. It always amazed me how many people would buy $150k watches or higher.

If you could drive it, it would be rational at least

I might trade the Blues Mobile for a microphone, but $75K and up for a watch? No way. I've got my dad's Omega Seamaster that I wear when I'm forced to wear a suite (pretty much for weddings and funerals), but otherwise my first career as an auto mechanic broke me of any jewelry habit I had.

That's not pretty fried, that's completely cactus!
Time for some VAP down pipes while they are going at a discounted price.

I thought of that, but then thought I want to make sure everything is OK before I start upgrading. Those 200 cell are at a great price! Maybe someone that went with the VAP upgrades no longer need their old cats. Ha!Ha!

I also am thinking there may be parts of the honeycombs downstream , maybe in the ‘box’ causing problems that will require replacement!so I better be prudent with my limited resources!

Ok, so I talked to Jaguar North Atlanta. They told me to fix my car, bring it to them . And they will run diagnostics. If the Cat is bad, they will replace it under warranty. I explained the history , but they told me they will honor the emissions warranty. Should I trust that , or should I just replace it now while everything is apart at my cost. I’m concerned they will come back later and say the cat was damaged by the engine and they won’t cover it. What do you think?

I think you can trust that if you get it in writing. You already have photos with the engine out, so not sure what kind of BS they might pull, though I have known some dumb dealer service departments.

Prices for used engines people have shared seems on par. I'm getting my engine replaced in my XJ this week, they're almost done. 9k for motor with 50k miles.
