Halo F-Type project and AJ133 internals
All,
Hope everyone is well. I have been working with various entities in regard to a fully built AJ133 and as you all know many of the items needed do not exist. The reason for this post is to ask AJ133 members if anyone has a detailed print or working CAD Model of our crankshaft or point me in the direction of a reliable source to create one.
On a positive note, once the project is complete a path will be provided for other members to purchase components required for high boost and I will provide the list of manufactures for each item to replicate the build in interested. The crankshaft will be the most expensive item outside the purchase of the long block from Tapa Jaguar see below
Hello Philip,
Sorry but we only build crankshafts.
Due to our current workload and backlog we will not be taking on any new projects until January 2023. For us to build 1 crankshaft that we have not before, we would a physical sample, detailed print or working CAD Model of the crankshaft.
Block not needed. APPROXIMATE costs for what you are asking:
Engineering, Programming and Tooling - 1 time charge $8,500.00 to $9,500.00 depending on the complexity of the crankshaft.
Cost per crank - I believe it is V8, so probably around $5,500.00 to $6,000.00 plus Mallory (heavy metal used to internally balance) plus freight.
Best regards,
Jim
The reason for buying the long block is to reduce downtime of my jag and allow reverse engineering/fitment for several components. The block will be sent to several places throughout the US and hopefully end up at velocityAP for final tune.

There are used crankshafts on ebay for around $1500 plus shipping. Maybe a seller would lend one for a small fee

You may want to look into Farndon Engineering in the UK. They are the company that made the cranks for Arden.

Found your thread and hopefully I'm not gravedigging. Did you ever make progress on this goal?
I noticed RED posted a VelocityAP modified block design which indicates VAP may have something pretty cool available in the future.

Obviously not very well informed... Glad to see that others are trying, there is a huge difference between an engineer and a tuner/auto technician,
Re-sleeved engine, yes done
Titanium rods... yes done
Forged pistons.. yes done
800hp and lasting more than a day? Would love to see that...

I know you sold the IP to another company but you didn’t mention who, I want to bulls my AJ126 motor similar to vengeance.
We have the ability to go to 558BHP on pump fuel, and 600+ on E85, without touching internals. While it's possible to build out the V6 the same way we are building out the V8's, given the costs, the most cost effective way to go further than 600 is to swap a dropout V8 into the car, and that gets you 660BHP VERY easily. 750 if you want to go crazy. Far more return on that and it's very easy to do.

Not this thread again! Listen and trust Velocity AP, ignore Ftype17. Not a reliable source of anything.
Actually he was an excellent source of information. Now his way of delivering that information might have rubbed some people the wrong way, but he is definitely more knowledge than 99% of the members on this forum.
That being said, just picked up my car with VAPs tvs 2300 kit installed. **** pullllllllllls. Very Highly recommended
For the F type, the Fuel pump booster is behind the seats, not in the trunk (different car than in the video that was sent). Otherwise straight forward. Although I have a check engine light for the fuel pump, I’m assuming that will be tuned out. Will ask VAP.
With the electric brake booster, to connect one of the vacuum lines to the T that VAP provides, I think the mechanic needed a piece in order one hose to fit, but not sure what he ended up doing

Supercharger is straight forward

We did make a mistake on the BOM for a few of the mechanical pump delete kits and hose was left out. It's nothing special just $1 worth of vacuum hose but this should be corrected going forward.
