I have it on all my Jags except the project 7.

You will get used to it and after a few weeks you will not notice it anymore.

Interesting...at that time I was working as an engineer for Monsanto Saflex producing the plastic laminate for windshields.

I know I am bumping an ancient thread, but I've a loaner right now, and that heated windshield thing is the most annoying, and potentially dangerous, thing. I am sure they are great in bad weather, but wow, I can barely focus on anything but the lines. They catch headlights and the sun in weird ways too. So annoying.

the heated windscreen and lit sill plates are the only options my car wasn't ordered with. I have no use for the heated windshield on the F type but it would come in handy on our SUV

I'm in AZ and I find the heated screen to be very useful in rain and mist. The heat clears the screen and mirrors very nicely.

As other commentators have stated, my experience with this was the first time I drove a car with this (1998 Ford) it was very noticable but within days I no longer focussed on it anymore than I am distracted by the much larger heating elements in the heated rear screen .

One final point , once used to the utility of electrically heat front screens in colder seasons I certainly missed the feature when driving vehicles without it!

+1. First couple of days with the car it was a minor annoyance. I haven't noticed the elements now in a couple of years.

Just because you're not paranoid doesn't mean they're not watching you.

Unless you're a solipsist. Then, you're watching yourself. There may be implied paranoia in solipsism though. Research may be called for, but not now. It's Old Rasputin time.

My point exactly!

I think we've all been pumping that clutch pedal too much.
