Yeah, I think it stays that way for 6 hours. I'm not sure though...

Yes, that is correct.would be nice if it was a bit longer so it stayed that way overnight, or right through an average day at work. I wonder what the rationale was for choosing a 6 hour interval.

I could get used to it, maybe. It's an interesting experiment either way
also, I really don't like you. I'm glad I don't personally know you because you feel like the type of person I would befriend.
ninja edit: no insult meant, you just both annoy and interest me
No offense taken. I feel the same way about a lot of people based upon their postings, but this medium often leads to misattribution. However, spirited discussions and debates keep a forum alive, leading to more participation. Folks whom I've "disliked" based upon their writings, have often proven to be quite likable in person, and vice-versa.

I do plead guilty to frequently expressing strong opinions and the use of dry, sarcastic humor. I'm well aware that some people have a hard time with that, but I offer no apologies. I do try to do everything I can to help people find answers to the questions they pose.

I'm thinking that Eco mode won't even be available on the 6 speed models since remote starting won't be offered.

No issues whatsoever. Car was brand new to me in September, as I said Eco was disabled in the first week of ownership. Never looked back as I hated the Eco feature.

Pm me if you want and I will give you my mobile number if you want reassurance

It wouldn't surprise me if that happens too.

Default Eco mode with the 6 speed

From the 2016 owner's manual:

To activate an engine stop:
For manual transmissions, neutral must be selected and the clutch pedal fully released.

To activate an engine restart:
For manual transmissions, the engine will restart when the clutch pedal is fully pressed, before engaging a gear.

So, to disable it on the manual, you just drive like a normal person...?

Isn't that the reason your eyesight went bad in the first place, Allenman?

Push the button, put it in sport, use Dynamic, what is the big deal? The car had this feature before you bought it. The manufacturers are doing what they have to to meet MPG , otherwise why do cars start in 2nd? You can always find cars not sold with this.

Today's mission was to disable the Auto Stop/Start. I take on board the arguements as to whether it really is necessary but it's done the Auto-off gig on me in a few moments of weakness and it needs to go.

Seems like things have changed on the MY16 models - there doesn't seem to be any '2nd milk-carton sized' battery in the trunk compartment -

I can see what looks like the mount for another battery but there's just the one.

Any ideas from the techies?

In my convertible, the 2nd battery is closer to motorcycle-sized, maybe even a bit smaller.

Yep, that's a very different set-up from '14-'15s. That silver module, on the bottom right side of your picture is where the smaller 2nd battery was on the older models.

I'm betting that's it, but I've never seen the green and yellow cables, as ours were std. red and black for positive and negative connectors.

Think you need to take the black bus cover off and compare the wire hookups to the 2015 layout. Chances are the yellow and green wires are just changed in colour, along with a different format of battery.
