Ordered my V6S Coupe five weeks ago and was told I had a build date for 'sometime in June' with a delivery date to New Zealand in 'August/September.....ish'

Well, occasionally one gets pleasant surprises and I have just had a call from my dealer to tell me my car was built yesterday. And, even more encouragingly, it is due to arrive in Auckland on 22nd July.

So now I have a VIN# and I have seen other people on this forum track the progress of their vehicle from factory to dealer. How do you do this?

Another thread is: tracking vehicle order status....not sure if it will work for NZ. Dealer should be able to get shipping information for you to track. Good luck

 

Also try in a NZ BMW forum. They probably have a greater volume of cars coming and most likely use the same carrier. Wallenius does list Wellington as a port that they can service.....

 

Congrats! It's a long float to New Zealand, and the time will crawl by agonizingly. But it's well worth it.

Thanks for the pointers. I'll just hunker down for a two month wait. My dealer says he'll let me know when the ship leaves the UK.
