ignition of total miles and date?

Default ignition of total miles and date?
When I get in the car with the ignition off the LCD in front of the steering wheel shows an R and the total miles and a date mine has 03/09/2014

What does the date mean?

That means you need to reset the date in the radio. Apparently ~2.5 months ago someone disconnected your battery.

Thxs that was me after CA emissions test which messed up the battery management system.

Either that or you didn't know you have the optional flux capacitor and recently achieved 88mph...
