Known issues with the 4 pot diesel

Any known issues with Jag's 2.0 four-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine exclusive to the F- Type at 296bhp ?

I think that there were some issues early on with the p300 engine, you might be best off joining the UK f type forum as well as the p300 is represented well on it. We have the engine in our XE which we have had since July 2019 with zero issues, though it only does about 7000km a year. My wife drives it with much enthusiasm, it is a lovely little unit (and so is she).

I have the 250HP version in my ‘18 XE. It threw a code early on for the variable valve timing sensor, but cleared itself. It threw the code again when it was in for scheduled maintenance, so they replaced it under warranty and said it wasn’t uncommon. Didn’t affect drivability.
