I'm thinking of upgrading my 2016 R coupe to a 2020 R or SVR convertible. Does anyone know off hand what kinds of lease deals are out there? I bought my current one, but the depreciation is so high that I think a lease may be a better deal in this case.

 

Lease rates were great in April when I got mine.

 

There are little to no incentives from the factory on leases, so you're still paying the depreciation anyways. The gamble with buying vs leasing is whether the car depreciates more or less than the projected depreciation rate made by the bank. Unless you get a smoking lease deal, it's usually about the same.

For example, the lease deal question recently posted, 110k car leased for 93k cap cost and 50% residual. Question is will that car be worth 55k in 3 years?
