Default LED headlight.

Good morning Guys.

I read the thread abat LED bulbs for the headlight.
But still not sure which is the best.

I hate the 4500k color of stock headlight which looks out of date.
I just want it more brighter and whiter.

Can anyone give me the link of LED bulb for the headlight without having me think abat this anymore?

The best ones Iv'e tested are the DZGs self-rated at 5500 lumens per bulb and 55W equivalent. They are linked in the thread. They are significantly better than both the stock HIDs and the other set of LEDs I tested in the first post. But they are not plug and play so you have to follow the step by step Conversion Method 2 instructions.

If you need plug amd play, the Car Rovers are better than stock.

Hi Racer

Thanks for the good info.

Is there much difference between both?

DZG or Car Rover?
If it's not, I prefer Car Rover.

If DZG is worth more, I will follow.

And you told me those products are linked in thread. I don't what you mean as I cound't find the link.

Could you please give me the links?

Thank you in advance.

My pleasure.
IMO the DZGs are the way to go. They are brighter, the light is more even, they have brighter side lighting, better bright lights, and are slightly whiter. You have to solder 2 pigtails to use them, so 4 solder joints in total. It takes about 30 minutes per side.

We need D3S size bulbs.

Here are the DZGs that need conversion method 2

Here are the coversion method 2 directions.

Wow.

Thx sooo much for the kindness.

I have no skills in touching wires so I better go for a Car Rover which seems out of stock for now.

Very sad.

If I get and install Car rover leds, I wonder if the color will fit the temperature of stock Z blade.( I don't know if it's correct, meaning the daylight turning on drive mode)

The car rovers match the j blade exactly. The DZGs are actually a half a shade whiter but still look fine.

I returned my car rovers after prefering the DZGs. They have a facebook page that says they only sell on Amazon. Maybe they'll the returned bulbs soon? Also, here are some tips for changing our bulbs.
Good luck!

Understood, With all the modding I do, though, I still don’t like making mods that aren’t reversible. Drilling holes and tapping into the wiring harness isn’t reversible. Don’t know why, since none of the mods on any of my cars have ever been reversed.

Building track or off-road dedicated vehicles was the exception, of course. Nothing much unmutilated left but the profile.

I might still consider tapping in the pigtails.

As you don't do wiring, you might want to consider sticking with HID's, and upping the colour temperature....
Replace your stock OEM D3S's with D3S OSRAM Cool Blue Boost Xenarc 35W 6000K Xenon HID Bulbs.
They match the LED DRL's perfectly.

The problem with upping the temp is that visibility will decline unless the change is accompanied by a wattage increase.

If it was say to 8.5k or 102k then yes, but the difference between 4.3 and 6k is only a few shades.

I've had mine in a year now and noticed no difference in visibility.

Other than matching the colour temp of the Led running lights, the only other perceivable difference is that everyone else's headlight glare on the road is so yellow.

I totally agree with you. The pigtails aren't completely reversible but they can be removed and the taps hidden to look completely stock minus unwrapping the wiring harness. I ran the LED bulb cords around the rubber caps without puncturing them. It works fine and is basically water tight in a well protected area.

Agreed, but you miss my point. The OP wants brighter and whiter headlights. You can achieve that with the Osram CBB's, without necessitating LED fitment.

The increase in colour temp from 4.3K to 6K is a decrease in Lumens of a couple 100's maybe assuming the same wattage.

I could not notice this change in real life at all.

This helps explain:

I didn't even know this was something people were doing. Now I feel like I have to do it and I totally don't feel like it. Ignorance is bliss...
