@nkc1989hkjc Thanks! So just to be clear, your jaguar oem stereo is set to bluetooth audio not auxiliary? And the car's bluetooth is connected to the carplay module's bluetooth audio, not your phone's bluetooth audio?
Just clarifying because I AM able to connect to wireless carplay and also phone -> oem bluetooth simultaneously and the audio quality is great but it's not ideal. The carplay navigation instructions don't play over the phone's bluetooth connection and I have to manually switch from 'Carplay" audio to "Jaguar F-Type" on my phone every time I get in the car.
Where did you buy this from, do you have a link? It's ok even if its in mandarin or cantonese, I can use a translator.
Thanks!
Yes, my jaguar oem stereo is set to BT not AUX as i didnt hv to change any setting, and when it paired i look at my iphone, it is pairing with my old BT setting, and at the same time it paired with a new wifi.
sorry i not sure how it works, but the only problem i hv is that when nav start the music stop, and i stop the nav, the music wont resume, i hv to press the volume on/off button once to make it work again.
Thanks for going through this process. It is still a todo for me to have carplay installed on my F-Type, after going through a tedious audio system upgrade. I know my OCD self would totally not be able to deal with a buzz from the speakers, I hope you are able to get it figured out.
InCarSolutions is still trying to find a car to test on to fix steering wheel controls.
That being said, interesting discovery today. I removed the CarPlay box as a test and surprisingly the buzzing noise on AUX is still there. I guess I had never tested AUX input on this car at all as I only used bluetooth prior to this CarPlay install.
Has anyone else (CarPlay retrofit or otherwise) noticed a buzzing noise that becomes audible around volume level 25/30? I’ve been blaming the Limcet box for poor audio the whole time and it turns out it was my car lol. I do not get the noise when using Bluetooth audio, only the AUX input.
Im going to experiment with trying to ground the IAM unit better or something, not sure yet.
Overall still hopeful that InCarSolutions figures out how to fix Limcet module -> Jaguar bluetooth audio as they claim it’s possible
Does this look vaguely like everyone else’s unmodified audio system (IAM 2.1 w/Bosch and Meridian 770W)
Theres a weird looking splice or something on one the yellow wires going into the IAM and I’m pretty sure those are the AUX wires. Potential source of my buzzing audio.
Either way, for now I’m using Phone -> Jaguar bluetooth audio in addition to CarPlay which is a decent solution except for navigation audio doesn’t work. Hopefully soon InCarSolutions will enable the BT audio output on their module for me and all of this will become irrelevant.
Using Bluetooth to send an audio single to the jag OEM input is picking the worse signal path. If you are happy no problems but it’s like choosing SD tv channel when you have the HD available. Hope you can sort out your humming.
