Lowered my R...
Ah yes, the thrill and agony of car customization. Once you start, it almost never stops.
I do agree that the OEM offsets look pretty good at OEM height, but once lowered the wheels do need to be pushed out.

+1. 15mm all corners seems to be just right.
H&R springs, they dropped it about 1.5" at the back and 1.3" at the front.
Spacers i hear you say, i did follow the gb thread on spacers but they seemed like hard work and you had to faff about with them!!
Is there anyone else that does them do we know!!

I do like it lowered but I also notice what you are saying. Wonder if that is just Timbos car or if others look the same way. Also wonder if it will be detrimental in any way.
I think the H&R drop is a little too much on this car. I prefer the look of the Velocity drop, which a little less than 1" all around.
Yes Jay, photo taken just a few moments ago in an alternate dimension.
Just a thought.
oddly enough, I scrape less now than I did before the lowering. I attribute that to the differential lowering (1.5" rear vs 1.25" front). The car doesn't point down as much as it used to (and sits more level). Maybe I'm just more observant of the roadway topography now.
My money is on this.
After reading this thread, as well as all the other wheel spacer threads, does anyone have all the specs for the FType so I can order so custom spacers? All the spacer threads seem to require grinding down the studs, or have some minor issue with the spacers...
What dimensions are required to NOT need any grinding of the studs, what is the proper hub bore, and what are the specs on the factory studs?

It also probably depends upon which wheel you have. We know the problem exists for 20" Gyrodynes and 20" Tornadoes, but I haven't seen any experiences posted for other OEM wheels.

The problem is you'd have to go with wider spacers than 15mm to avoid the need to grind down the OEM studs. However, 15mm is about the max width one can go (with the OEM F-Type wheel offsets) before you start showing tire outside the fender lips. The studs are about 1-2mm too long to work with OEM wheel offsets and 15 mm spacers. Thinner spacers would be worse.
