Do you keep your phones as long as you keep your cars? Do you still have the original iPhone?

This is an iPhone(5) picture:

Here's an iPhone 6 picture, which has a much better camera than even the 5.

Default USA Today Review

Subjective reporting, but sums it up:
Review: Jaguar F-Type will move your body and soul

More Nessie shots from my dealer. Only a week to go now before I come back to the US. The interior is cirrus & black, if you were curious.

Orkney (Headed to England)

Jaguar V6S manual, cirrus & black interior.

Default Not Good!

Jag appears to have forgotten how to build manual transmissions. After only 800 miles, the clutch has already failed. Will not disengage. Not a fluid issue since the brake/clutch reservoir is still full. Probably blew a master seal since the fluid level has not declined.

Dislike.

Is there any resistance in the clutch pedal, or does it just go straight to the floor?

Plenty of resistance, just no action. Isn't a delaminated disc since the drivetrain is still in balance when in gear. Shifting fairly easy on this without a clutch, but obviously needed to launch from a start unless you're on at least a slight downhill grade.

Wow, only 800 miles?
How long did the dealer say it's going to take to fix considering they probably don't have a master in stock?

Hopefully this is an isolated issue and not a manufacturing defect for all of us

That's a shame. I'm very sorry to hear this.

thanks for the concern. 2nd time on the hook this week. Immediately hauled it back to the dealer and was given a new XF to drive. Nice car, but not an F-Type.

Bad luck, sorry to hear

Could be any one of a number of things related to factory assembly. Lets hope it something simple...

Or just a bad component. If the problem is the master or slave, not a big deal. If something in the throwout linkage, they'll be pulling the transmission. All part of the adventure! Worst part is having to listen to my wife pointing out that my Dad had to bail out of his '78 XJC because of reliability issues and saying she told me so. Arggh!

I'm sure you will anyway, but get the piece that broke. Unless they want to send it to Jag, but at least get pictures.

For at least the next week, my daily driver is a Volvo with 6MT. Not exactly new territory. At 10K miles the clutch got "sticky" and would not properly re-engage. Under warranty, the whole thing got replaced; pressure plate, disc, slave cylinder/throwout bearing, and dual-mass flywheel. At 20K miles, the problem was back. Again they replaced the whole clutch assembly, although possibly not the flywheel. I don't know.

The dealer was not allowed to inspect the components, but had to send them off to the engineers at Volvo USA. The service department never did hear back what the problem was but it has not recurred, and I've now got 44K miles on the car.

I don't like mysteries of this nature, but with the factory footing the bill I had no choice but to accept the utter lack of information.

I believe it is just an isolated incident. We had a 600 mile 2015 BMW 320 or whatever POS it is towed in for a massive coolant leak. Turns out the block plug in the head between cylinders 3 and 4 popped out.

These things happen since cars are still made by man.

If you get soured on the 6speed F-type, I will be happy to take it off your hands. Haha.
