Looking at a '15 R at Jaguar Land Rover Houston Central. Anyone know the car the dealership, or both? And anything in particular to look out for when shopping for a '15 R?

These cars are proving to be pretty stout and reliable. Check to make sure the fluids were changed recently and the tires arnt worn. Take it for test drive and make sure it will fit in your garage (it's very wide).

 

Is it certified? Make sure you check that it was serviced properly at the recommended intervals. Depending on mileage check the brakes pads and rotors. So far these cars have been pretty reliable and as long as they have been maintained the issues have been minor (yes there are a few horror stories but not at all common). Most of the service updates have been software based for O2 sensors and the sound system challenge that some have had. Last as part of the buy have them change the oil if they did not do it while it was on their lot.

 

Make sure that the oil level is correct. Techs have been known to overfill AWD versions.
