I get it!

Problem with my buttons is the lack of wires on the loom, I tried every single option already for the button layout. The GPS antena I installed on the first day, I have googlemaps with my area offline map downloaded, sometimes it's nice just to see the map arround You to escape trafic or shortcut or whatever in places You dont know very well.

It would be nice if You keep updating with this 3D instalation thing I will check if I have RCA connectors for that.

check and see if you have a small vertical white socket next to the large power plug, that’s where mine is. If not, i believe the wire loom is all the same for these units and you should have a few labeled rca plugs, not sure if they will function the same though.

Yes, I remember some unused plug, the main difference between our systems is that (i believe) You have the bosch base system while I have the Harman, am I correct? Did You had to migrate the boards from the original screen to the Android screen?

 

yep yours should be harman and mine is Bosch and the boards had to be transferred. Original system shouldn’t make any difference as long as you have the smaller screen, wire loom might be different length maybe?

can you believe it, i got next/prev working on the steering wheel!!!!!

It’s in the button learning in setting, they made the “save” button looking the same as the buttons you want it to learn, so i missed it last time.

Follow the instructions and hit that damn “save” button, see if that works for you.

Also can you take a pic of your software settings? I’d like to see if we have the same unit on same software. I will upload mine tomorrow.

i have worked out pretty much all the kinks in this system now and i will have a write up up soon, it’s really really good overall.

 

congrats! At this point, what’s left and or not working?

 

Only real kink left is intermittent auto connect CarPlay at start up, 2 out of 10 times the unit decides to keep Bluetooth off thus no CarPlay until manual intervention, 4 taps to do it manually, annoying but not unmanageable.

the system have not crashed once, always responsive, no sign of over heat during 100f days.

I’m taking my sweet time writing a detailed review with setup and installation guide, overall it’s a massive upgrade over the stock unit, and a better unit than UAD credit to the large screen and more functionality.
