Default Matching engine number?

Hi,

is there a way to match the engine number to the car? I am wondering if the engine was swapped in the past.

regards,

Adam

You should see the serial number on a raised pad in the center of the engine block just below the head gasket surface. Check it against any documentation you got with the car. Otherwise, a dealer should be able to tell you if it matches the build.

You have a variant of the Ingenium engine, but not the 2.0 diesel which is the one with all the issues. Petrol ingenium engines are mostly fine.
