While I love the idea of someone in every state getting a/the UNHINGD plate—although it is unavailable in the state of Maine—AND I love these 4+ years old thread resurrections, there is ONLY one UNHINGD. Ours.

I rocked "SOFRESH" (I was 20.. lol) for a while on my last car. A lot of people asked me to buy it actually. Now, honestly the stock CA unpersonalized plate looks nice and clean to me.

I used to commute year 'round on the motorcycle. After having to make allowance for a driver on the phone I thought of "SIGHUP". I checked and it was available but I never followed through. After getting rear-ended by a texting driver I checked again and it was taken.

If you're not a computer nerd, it's one of the signals that can be sent to a running process. HUP is the "hangup" signal.
