I missed my 2014 v8-s after selling it in 2020. I then bought a 2016 R AWD but never liked the car much so ending up selling it after less than one year of ownership. I knew that going back to either a RWD 14 or 15 is one option, or go all in on pre facelift SVR. After a few months of searching, here it is, a 2017! And I couldn’t be happier.
Red with Black interior is one of my favorite color combinations! It’s the way I ordered my1986 944 Turbo which is still in the family. I also really like the exterior carbon fiber package!
Wow! Congrats on an awesome car. That after market steering wheel really matches the interior really well. Do the display elements at the top of the wheel actually do anything?
Gorgeous car, great color combo and extremely well equipped and you'll love the ceramic brakes. How many miles does it have and did you debadge the rear end or was it done by the previous owner? Looks naked without the SVR badge in my opinion.

Yep, I "debated" what to do with the rear end as well and in the end I completely debadged it other than for the leaper, same as this car.
(I suspect auto-correct has struck again).

The car came without the badging, and with the wheel installed courtesy of the previous owner. I don't know where the wheel came from but something like this looks similar to it: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/4000328930641.html
It displays battery voltage, speed, engine temps, etc., and you can also adjust shift lights base on certain rpm. I'm still working out some bugs from this installed wheel at the moment. I don''t care too much for the displays information, but the looks and physical feel of the wheel is miles ahead of the stock one.
Oh, and the car had 26,xxx miles at purchased time with CPO until Sep. of 2022.
It was a combination of things. The car had way bettertraction than the RWD but the steering feel was numb. I did not liked how far the side skirts stuck out on the 16 AWD version; The exhaust was noticeably more muted than the 14 v8-s cars; The car felt heavier than my RWD one; The interior didn't feel like it was worth the price I paid (no extended leather or carbon trim, etc.), which was about $52k for a car with about 19k miles (this was before the crazy market hike). Funny because the SVR cost me about $20k more now but it looks and feel worth the price it is with all the exterior and interior options that it has. So, I think it was just a lowly option car with a more muted exhaust than what I had before that made the car less special to me.
Looks awesome congrats! Carbon ceramics and the exterior carbon package, she’s loaded!
The yellow CC brakes sealed the deal for me. I had them on my last car (w205 c63 AMG - similar to yours) and realized that the way they look, along with the benefit of brake dust free wheels is an absolute must for me in future car purchases.
Cool, never heard of an aftermarket wheel with such display options. I guess it just picks up ECU data wirelessly from something like an OBD2 dongle and displays some of it.
Totally see what you mean with your old R. Especially the interior trim makes a massive difference to the feel of the car. Coming from other Jags with top of the range interiors I could never have lived with a base spec F-Type interior. I don't care much for the carbon interior trim which I also have but think that the full fat extended leather and contrast stitching make quite a difference.
I usually can't stand all black interiors but yours looks spectacular with the red accents, diamond stitching, alcantara and that wheel. Just matches the rest of the car perfectly. Reminds me of an XKR loaner I had quite a few years ago with a pretty similar interior.
