my second f type
hi all,
some of you may recall, i had my ftype v6s totaled earlier this year because some jackass broke a light and rammed into me. i was really sad to see my prized car go, but knew that i needed to get an ftype again.
well, finally got a 2017 R..in storm grey with jet/red zone interior. vision and black pack. got a great deal!! so happy to be a proud ftype owner again...i need to keep reminding myself that i finally have an ftype again. driving this car is such a joy.
wanted to update everyone as well as get in touch with fellow f type owners here in the Tampa area!!

Welcome back.
You've got a really nice colour too.
When you get back from driving around just for the hell of it, it would be interesting to hear how you're finding the V8R versus the V6S you had before.

so when i first got the v6, i must admit, i wasn't fully content with the power and oomph factor. the handling was great and nimble, but i would always feel the missing 180 hp. plus it took me a while to "master" the skill of producing the pops and crackles.
now, the R handles slightly different in the sense that you can feel the extra weight up front, but not by much. i haven't had a chance to take it down some winding roads like i did with the v6, because now i'm in tampa and i have yet to see a single winding road
!! anyway, in my opinion, the main thing that i'm loving about the R is the power on tap: civil in normal mode and BEAST in dynamic. if the normal-to-dynamic mode difference in the v6 was a 5, the R's is a 10. i mean you can really tell it's a different mode. and the sounds......what can i say about the sounds that hasn't been said a million times here already
hope ive painted an easy to understand comparison. both awesome cars, loved them both to death, but i was made for the R.

Well, after a year plus of enjoying my manual transmission 2016 Coupe, I decided to change the beat a little by getting more comfortable with a 2017 automatic convertible ... so I made the trade
