I'm putting Eibach springs on my 2017 base v6 and I'm on the front right wheel (just started). I jacked up the front right wheel, put the car on a jack stand at the jack point on the right, took the wheel off, took apart the top control arm ball joint and I unscrewed the 4 nuts from the top strut where it's connected in the engine bay. I expected the strut to drop out so it's anchored with a jack, but it doesn't drop out. The strut is still firmly in place. I feel like there's a bolt I'm missing to unscrew but can't figure it out. I watched all of the YouTube videos I could find and a user on here has a very good tutorial for the F Type R but my suspension on the base appears different. This link is from a type S and suspension appears the same as mine and he doesn't do any further steps as far as I can see:
I noticed everyone is jacking their car up on 4 stands but my garage is narrow so I can only do one side at a time comfortably so I'm trying to do front right then rear right, then move car over to hug right side of the garage then do the left sides.
Where stuck at in pictures below:

I figured it out. The sway bar link was attached to the lower control arm(the bolt just below the lower bolt of the strut in the last pic). Removed that and we are in business. Now if I can just figure out how to get this stupid strut out. It's like a jigsaw puzzle and I'm losing lol
Figured I'd leave this up for other people instead of delete it but it can be closed.

Many moons ago I started to take the front suspension apart to DIY install VAP lowering springs but I soon realised what it pain it was on jack stands with minimal tools and no help so I gave up PDQ.
Good luck I reckon you will need it!
