Don't have a clue if you get the garage door opener (Homelink) standard or with any of your option packs, but that's nice to have. I've been very happy with my 'sports' seats (i.e. standard; performance seats were an option). Don't even know if the seats are still the same, though I think they're the same or similar. Lots of changes over the years.

Welcome to the forum, and good luck!

I don't have any front or rear cameras, which I regret somewhat. Visibility isn't great while parking, etc. Most of us here would recommend at least rear vision, and maybe front too. It's possible to add after the fact (search the forum for 'NavTV'), though you'll have a newer-generation Nav system than most of these threads discuss.

Get the rear Blind Spot Monitor and cross traffic detection for sure, the car has blind spots in the rear.

People think the sport seats are fine, some prefer them.
Most choices are personal preference. Mine would be different from yours.

So... *I* would say....

BRG looks great with the chrome trim (classic look) so I'd skip the black pack. Also the wheels are silver anyway, so skip the black pack again. Like those wheels!

I'd get the gray morzine headlining, matches the seats, makes the interior lighter, but thats me.
I like the suede cloth seats, less $$$, butt sticks better, but thats just me.
I guess in NY you want the heated seats, windshield?
Personally, I'd skip the powered tailgate, but thats me
Interior black pack - I'd skip it, if going with chrome exterior, get the regular silver flat bottomed steering wheel for $100 ish if you want, but thats me.
High beam assist - is it that useful? I heard someone say it was slow to react.

Thumbs up

Agree with most of the comments although I have the convertible in BRG, with the sports (baroque) seats. Personally I think the chrome is more attractive than the black. Glad you got the active exhaust. Again, personally, the Meridian sound system, albeit great, is rarely on, as I prefer to listen to the AE, unless I am nearing home!

Welcome to the forum, thanks in advance for keeping us up to date.

I suggest to not order I4. If you take a 2018 from the dealer's lot, you could probably get a V8 R for a price of I4 that you would order. This is because there are serious discounts in play going on right now.

Thank you guys for all the replays.

i think I’m gonna go with the cloth seats

the option now is all black inside with black interior package( I’m just worried it will feel a little to confined because I’m tall)

or white seats witg grey head lining.

please advise going to put deposit tom at 12

Why not just go buy this car with only 250 miles on it? $65K asking, that's >$34K off of MSRP!

That looks looks like an amazing deal. I’m just leasing and getting a really good price so that’s why I’m getting an i4 I can’t lease a slightly used v8 even though I would love too

You will never know unless you ask. You should call that dealer in New Rochelle and see if they will give you a good lease deal on it. I'm sure they are looking to get that car off their lot asap.

I prefer the dark hex aluminium but I'm not sure what the knurl looks like. I dont really like the silvery one and the cf looks a bit cheap I thought.

I'd definitely go for the best seats you can get, it will make the difference between wanting to keep the car or not. I thought the cheaper seats werent very comfy but I havent been in the new ones. I's also go leather any day of the week, much easier to look after.

There is absolutely no reason to order F-type I4.

When you order a car, you automatically pay premium. When you take the car off the lot, unless you are really bad at negotiation, you will easily get large discount. This will lower your lease payments.

Right now you can get into NEW 2018 F-type with 15-20K discount. That pretty much wipes difference between F-type V8 R and F-type I4.

You will regret getting I4. Don't do it.

I would even go further - call them and offer $5K less than the price they are advertising. Say that you will give deposit right there over the phone and if they don't like it you will call the next dealer on the list with the same offer.

You have no idea how desperate dealers are to sell last-year cars. These are still new cars that look and work identically to what you would order and have to wait 3 month to get delivered.

Ignore the don’t buy the I4 statement: Tested both V6 and I4 before buying the I4. It’s a fantastic car to drive. Granted it doesn’t have the same exhaust note as the V6 but still sounds good. I wouldn’t get the climate package. Cabin is so small that having the ability to independently set temperature seems overkill. I agree with the blind spot and rear traffic detention.
Whatever you decide on buying you will love

If you do a forum search, you can find some good deals that people had in the past. I certainly recall seeing better deals on last year models.

I also suggest mentioning that you have 539/mo deal on the table to other dealers, but tell them you really want a V8. So they can have your business if they deliver.

Climate package includes heating steering wheel and heated seats (at least, it used to.) I love both. If the OP will be driving the car in winter in NY, he should get that.
