Default New baby arrived today!

After learning that the base model I placed an order for would not be delivered until the end of February 2017 I started searching nationwide for a BRG convertible with a manual transmission. I located a 2017 with only 2200 miles in Westchester PA. My local dealer was able to secure the car and the waiting game began...

I didn't want to post anything for fear of jinxing myself and having it fall of the truck or something!

She arrived on Monday and was prepped and ready for pick up this afternoon. I was able to get the exact color combo I wanted including the beige top plus the S model, vision and extended leather packages for about $5k more than my base model was going to cost. As a CPO car the warranty is punched out to 7 years/100k. So all in all I'm a VERY happy camper!

I took the long long way home and still can't wipe the grin off my face!

Curious about the "dealer transfer" thing - did you pay the same price ? My local dealer seems averse to looking at doing something like that...

Looks good, consider doing an early oil change (5K) as these 2200 miles were probably very hard if it was press/demo car.

Yes, I was pleasantly surprised that they would do so, they even sold me the car for $2k less than the other dealer had listed it for, which more than covered my shipping costs... I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop during the process, you know the extra fees for this and that but it didn't happen! They apparently made their money on the car from the sale. Weird right?

I LOVE THIS CAR. I've got same as you.. BRG w/ tan top. Blackpack and black rims tho.... manual is the most fun thing, ever.

The grin is part of what your purchased. You will have it for the lifetime of this car, methinks.

I am 17,500 miles in at 1 year, 2 months, 1 week, and 1 day. That's a lot of grinning. Like a maniac.

You may want to consider adding the chrome louver inserts to match the side chrome. I did that on my BRG and love the extra bling. If you're ever down in San Diego area please let me know. Mine is a similar car but 8 speed automatic. I'd love to do a comparison to see the differences in how the exhaust burbles sound between manual and auto. Enjoy!
