Default New F Type Owner

Hello!

I recently took delivery of my 2015 F Type Coupe in Polaris White with Performance Seats, Premium Pack and Climate Pack. I've always been a Honda guy and recently parted with my Honda S2000. For those of you familiar with that car, the S2000 is a formidable track car. I've accumulated a lot of track time at Laguna Seca and Buttonwillow. But its time I put my big boy pants on! Got a deal on the F Type I couldn't pass up on. My girlfriend thinks I'm going through an early midlife crisis. (I'm 31).

Pics of my car...if you guys can guess who I work for based off the other two pics...

Oh yes, congratulations WhiteTardis on your stunning new F-Type.

Best regards and happy driving,

Women think all men that obsess on a car are going through a midlife crisis. Better a car than another woman they would think.

I made the determination that lusting after a car was a heck of a lot cheaper than having an affair. Of course it never came down to that - I couldn't adore and love my wife more - but having an "affair" with my F-Type is not only a guiltless pleasure but an immensely pleasurable one, never mind likely to be long-lasting.

By the way, one is never too old - or young for that matter - to have a mid-life crisis.

Thanks for all the welcomes. I'm still getting used to the F Type. I haven't explored the limits quite yet and I'm getting used to the automatic transmission. All my cars in the past have been manuals.

Agreed that owning a car will probably be cheaper than an affair...but then again I'm not married. LOL.

Take your time - there is no rush and many believe [the Jaguar manual] [re] the 2,000 mile break-in period; I being one of them...for the most part - and enjoy.

Unlike the wonderful S2000 the F-Type doesn't have to be driven like you hate it (or stole it) or pushed to the higher revs to get the best out of it.

Lastly, no one - including me - is suggesting having any affair whatsoever; other than maybe with your new F-Type.

Then I've been in a midlife crisis for the past half century.

My wife thinks all men are idiots, and she's positive I'm their king. I am unable to dissuade her.

Welcome and congrats! My current race car is a S2000:

Never had a stock S2000, so I don't know what it's like to drive one on public streets. But I can say that you'll enjoy every minute of driving your new F-Type.

Congrats and excellent choice of color...be prepared to be bombarded with inquiries!

I sold the S2000's when they were new and I know how capable they are as track/auto-x cars.
I live in the Monterey area so if you ever venture up this way, be sure to give me a heads-up.

You must work for Jaguar, as two of the pics are taken in the showroom of the new JLR Technical Training Academy in Irvine.

Congrats. I had a white S2000 (the original 2.0 liter AP1) long time ago. Fun car, sometimes I miss having those high revving engines. But low the torque of the F-Type.

Sweet! Mine was pretty much stock except for the fully built suspension

DING! DING! We have a winner! I work upstairs for the Western Region. I support the warranty and customer service aspects for the dealers. Basically a liason between the factory and the dealer. Its nice being able to go downstairs and ask the technical trainers for technical support! I'm assuming you've visited when a local Jaguar Club held a meet there or you work for one of the dealers?

The recent one I sold was an AP2. Grand Prix White with red interior! I had a Sebring Silver AP1 prior to that one. And yes..theres just something soul stirring about the VTEC cams kicking in at 6000RPM all the way to the 8300-9000RPM redline!

One of the few white coupes I have seen that did not have black wheels and/or the black pack. I like this iook much better.

+1

It's very refreshing and a nice look, in the sea of dark wheels.

Congrats Did you have to wait for long for it?

Gorgeous looking, I was very close to ordering white myself (was that or stratus grey) then decided to take a risk with black berry.
As others have said, nice to see one without the black pack (which I would have gone for tbh)...any reason you stuck with the chrome? Are you tempted to swap out the bonnet louvres to match?
