The Day of the Dead devil skull finishes the artwork nicely!

Let's not forget ne'er-do-wells. There was a loose-knit group of motorcyclists that I rode with some years ago. On a ride I missed, one of the riders was doing wheelies down the main street, I think in Hollister. Someone asked another, "you're not one of those hooligans, are you?" The name stuck. The last motorcycle racing I did was with a couple of them. We were "Team Hooligan Racing."

I not only do not wish to get on a philosophical soapbox—or “hawk”, “press” , or “push” any of my friend’s shirt’s or hoodies (I’ve started buying both styles of shirts and hoodies already, and I am gladly paying, and paying full price)—but I must say that this forum has been a tremendous source of joy and pleasure “acquiring” (that doesn’t sound like the right word) some of my closest friends; and I wasn’t looking for new friends then or now. Having said that, I am of the opinion that the best things in life are best when they are shared. Mostly: shared experiences. Like hosting 9 pretty spectacular events in Maine.

i won’t go down the list of names of the members here—and some not members here—who my wife and I have had the great pleasure of knowing but actually calling them friends. And that is a word I do not use loosely or often (you know who are you). That includes people like our illustrious leader and SUPER MOD GGG, scm (Steve), lizzardo (Steve)—I wonder whether they are are related?—Mahjik (Kyle), and countless others. My life is enhanced and enriched by knowing these people and interacting one way or another.

The point being—what exactly is your point Jay???—is I do not have time for negativity never mind hostility (there’s enough of that going around the world)—merely wanting to spread positive ENERJAY as often as I can, wherever I can. Asking for nothing.

Carpe diem and stay in touch!
Jay

Sorry, one last thought. I did not buy a car—in this case the wonderful F-Type—to acquire friends. (I bought the F-Type to get away from them! See “Riding On The Coattails Of The Devil”). Seriously though—and as our very dear friend jaguny has stated numerous times, privately to me and publicly to others—“I thought I was buying a car when I was actually making a lot of life-long great friends”. Something like that. And especially hosting those 9 events in Maine, I have made countless life-long AMAZING friends along the way; everyone from Commanders and Captains in the US Coast Guard to Commanders and Captains in any number of Police jurisdictions. And how about ALL the restaurants and places we have visited all these years? All..because of this damn car and, yes, this forum.

This sounds like he was talking about an orator who would bellow a soliloquy to the masses while standing on the roof of his castle, adorned in custom leather.

You did say custom leather…

It doesn’t get more custom than this baby. Our dear friend jaguny weaves a beautiful tale about who made it and how it was made. But that’s a story for another time…

My only question is, why did you slow the clip down?

I’m veering, heavily, off this thread but in searching for those photos I came across this terrific one from that event:

Now can we get back to, and focus on, t-shirts and hoodies?

I dunno what you’re talking about. Looks pretty great to me…

NOW can we get back to talking about t-shirts & hoodies? Unless the peanut gallery has more slings and arrows to…well…sling? (Who loves you Matt?).

Now, where was I?

Ah, yes. About 6 hours ago I was wearing my new—newly-arrived—Jaguar F-Type t-shirt:

I had ordered it—actually them, as I ordered 4 shirts total; 1 for me and 3 for friends—on Dec 21, 2023. Yet I only received them today. There was, obviously, a heck-of-a delivery glitch. Not terribly surprising given I am not only out of the country but on an island, A very small island. Nevertheless I received them today and couldn’t be happier. (I’ve had numerous friends in the States—including forum members—order and receive their shirts and hoodies within a week or so. Never mind orders $75 or more, in the U.S., get free shipping). I paid $11.99 for shipping and it “only” took 2 months***

There was also a glitch printing the dark gray “Vamonos Cabrones” shirt and hoodie (the word “Vamonos”, on the dark gray only, in black letters, wasn’t as vibrant as Julio had intended. It’s not terrible but Julio (and I concurred) decided to remove that dark gray option. For now. (Thanks Unhingd and Mbourne for the photos. Replacements will be coming your way. You too Jack…please PM if you get a chance).

I am so pleased that I ordered another 5 shirts and 2 hoodies today—just for me—being shipped to my home address in the States. They will, undoubtedly, be waiting for me upon my return. Assuming I do return.(I suppose I have to if I plan to attend this years event?).

So this thread is now back up, Here is the link to my friends website Monomalo (Bad Monkey) if you are interested:
https://monomalo.store/collections/a...ile-collection

(A reminder: I have zero financial interest in any of this. I helped design these shirts and hoodies for the express purpose of fun, sharing them with this forum—as well as other friends; non forum members who have also bought shirts and hoodies—and, yes, helping a friend with his little business).

Best regards,
Jay

***I was informed that they attempted delivered mid-Jan [HA!] but claim no one was home to sign for it. (DHL, the international delivery service here, apparently requires a signature?). No note was left (?!) and the package of 4 shirts had been sitting, thankfully, in the local post office since, Go figure…

If you really think I want to “model” anything, I can assure you I do not! Nevertheless I bought a red T-shirt for one of my friends here, in large, but there is no way he’ll fit in it; so I’m keeping it and will order him another one in XL. (Hint: depending on your build, you might want to order 1 size up).

Perhaps if you’d lodge your complaints in person—you are, as know you, LONG overdue—I might take them more seriously? I’ll also have you know 1) all my swim suits are not inexpensive and 2) I practically live in them; even when dining out. (Don’t knock if you haven’t tried it).

You got something against robes? I didn’t realize you are an anti-robeite? Robeaphobic? The world would be a far better, kinder, place if we all wore robes all the time! (Never mind I will never forget the broad smiles and hysterical laughter on Mboune’s wife face the entire time during our continuous robe-a-thon. Even DJS got into the act!

This year’s event should provide each attendee with a Jaguar-themed robe. I’ll get right on that.
