NEW INFO: Fuse 15 & Warranty Issues
Here's my opportunity to contribute some valuable info in the event this has not yet been covered.
Traded in my 2021 P300 First Edition to a Land Rover dealer to the north yesterday and got a 2023 P450 AWD.
Based on the recorded fuel mileage data, appears the 450 was gently driven nor was the auto stop feature disconnected.
At first light this morning I popped the hood, removed fuse 15, grabbed a test lead and shorted out the fuse from battery to ground.
I then installed the blown fuse back into the slot - same effect as a missing fuse.
Took the 450 to my regular JLR dealer to the south for an oil change, complete service and a "please look this car over closely" visit.
The service drop off area is closed and climate controlled.
After settling into the waiting room with my laptop, they started the car up to take it to the shop.
WOW ! THAT SOUNDED GREAT, and all heads, including my own, turned to look at where THAT came from.
Also, JLR had a WE OWE from the factory, as this car was delivered new with only one key.
Dealer attempted to program the new key twice - no luck and ultimately ended up ordering a new VIN matched key.
I did have to reset all the drivers settings.
At the conclusion of the service, we set it up so when the key and (yeah, i also have loose trim syndrome, too) trim come back I'll return to the dealer to wrap up those warranty items.
Otherwise the car passed muster as PERFECT.
Nothing was said about the burned out fuse, and the car still sounds great !
I've ordered the parts and will be installing JAG BASS' CLAWS OUT remote system, however for now, we'll just leave the burned out fuse in place.
It seems the moral to this story is, that there's no need to put that fuse in and out every time you visit the dealer to maintain your warranty.
Simply blow the fuse and stick it back in, the circuit will remain open.
BEST !

Obviously, the dealer didn't check it out all that carefully, since they didn't discover/replace the blown fuse (and maybe waste some diagnostic time trying to determine the cause).
Seems simpler to just pull the fuse, rather than fry it. Then, you'd still have it available and working if you want it later.

I don't think anyone ever put the fuse back in as a concern about a warranty denial (since a blown fuse wouldn't cause that). It was more so an alert tech wouldn't 'discover' a non-existent problem and waste time wondering why the active exhaust switch wasn't working or why the valves weren't working correctly and go down a rabbit hole of diagnostics that didn't need to be done. Either way, it was a good test if it makes you comfortable. I never put the fuse back in when I brought my 2018 in for service.
Although now with the Claws Out mod I *might* consider removing the add-a-fuse jumper in the fuse box if I was bringing the car in for warranty service for something that had failed. Invariably, the tech is going to go into the fuse box as part of whatever troubleshooting he is going to do and while a blown or removed Fuse 15 won't raise any eyebrows, if he sees aftermarket wires and connections coming out of a fuse block along with an aftermarket relay, he could be quick to point to *that* as a root cause of electrical malfunction (even though it's 100% safe and confined only to the active exhaust circuit).

You could absolutely remove the fuse or just blow and replace. However with my 2020R I have a Supersprint Exhaust installed with hign flow HKS 200 CELL CATS and with valves open it it for the most part like running straight pipes, no ****! Startup is so loud that I have to keep the garage closed when starting in the morning, and I feel seriously sorry for anyone standing in the garage. Also long as I don't really get into it hard while driving, valves open on the road sound epic, especially paddle down shifting, burble, burble, burble, burble gives the be goosebumps every time. Floor it with the valves open an it sounds like a dragster launching in the 1/4. I don't keep mine open all of the time. It funny to see peoples faces when the Active exhaust engages, it goes from purrrrrrrr to, I want to claw the heart out of your chest, it's quite shocking the instantaneous transformation that occur with the Supersprint Exhaust and HSK CATS installed, at thats just the Touring version. I can't even fathom how violent the Race version of their exhaust could be. Best part never one second of drone experienced and car didn't throw a fit with the new CATS, no CEL so no need to touch tune to turn off O2 sensor errors. It's quite an investment but brings a smile every time I drive it.
Not my car but here is a Manufacturer Video of a customers F Type R with same Exhaust.
