Picked up my new Jag yesterday (pic below) and the salesman said to install a sim card, is it worthwhile? everything seems to work without it, love to hear your views regards Stuart.

 

Thought they all came with whatever sim device was needed for the SOS communications. If something else, does that mean adding a sim card (someplace) allows you to make phone calls without a phone? Then how do you connect your music library?

 

I believe the 2018 models have the later infotainment system like on the F-Pace which allows the creation of a wifi hotspot in the car, which requires a data SIM card to be installed.

I would guess if you have no desire to create such a wifi hotspot in the car, then no hurry to get a SIM card....
