New owner, get problem with the bass speaker blown.
Just get this 2016 v6s awd with 42k miles on it. Really love this car. However, when I played songs with heavy bass, there are rattling sounds behind the driver's seat. When I turned the bass to 20%, the sounds just disappear. Any suggestion?
I am new here and don't have an F-type (yet), but I did read thru a good majority of the posts and it seems like this is a common complaint.
Here is a thread that may help, but if you search using Google and add jaguarforums to the end of your search verbiage, it'll pull up any threads that may be related to your issues.

Yes. I had that on my 2017 from the speakers behind the driver and passenger seat. It's the plastic trim around them
There is a tsb that applied to mine which made it a lot better - involved putting in some sort of insulation foam insert around the speaker area. Also check no internal panes loose as they will definitely vibrate with the bass.

i only have had this issue since installing my boot subwoofer and not before hand . With the correct bass freq and volume there is a vibration from the rear speakers. It sounds like the rear speaker baffles are loose and the vibration stops when you press on the baffles firmly BUT it is not the baffles themselves. I have dynamatted the rear carpeted panels and felt taped the baffles in so there is no vibration at all. Pressing on the baffles stops the vibration because it then presses on the speaker frame behind it which is the culprit. Leave the baffles and carpet panel out of the car shows the vibration sound you are likely hearing is still there. In my car at least it is stopped but pressing on the frame at about the lower level of the rear tweeter box. Jamming some high density foam at this level bewteen the tweeter box and the carbody solved this problem for me. Loosening and then inserting the foam and then retightening the speaker frame is probably better than just trying to jam foam into that area w/o loosening the frame. Hope this helps

There was a TSB for coupes that was applied to mine that helped. I replaced all my speakers except the subwoofers with upgraded Jag/LR ones (there is a thread on forum). Since then many have tackled replacing subs. (I haven't). Recently I started streaming from Tidal music service. I never liked the Meridian setting on the stereo but have now found that is the best, tightest sound for high quality streaming (I have Tidal premium). The subs don't seem to rattle as much. Radio music is the worst. CD's next best after streaming. Short of replacement this is what I have landed on.
I have similar problem, but with the passenger side. I'll hear distortion/vibration at even very low volumes, so I'm wondering if it's truly blown. I need to do some more testing.
