Default NoFlyZoneMidwest 1/2 mile racing event.

I attended my first 1/2 mile event yesterday in Rantoul, IL. It was put on by Omega Motorsports. Had a great time and the F-Type did better than I expected. Thought you guys might like to see it. I was taking some video, but I found one of my car posted on YouTube.

The Dodge Demon was made for something like this, especially all factory unmodified with race fuel option engaged. Lots of untalented young drivers will meet their demise in one.

Good work. What mods do you have done to your car?

Nice work. The benefits of a close ratio 8 speed gear box is the moral of the story here.

I did a half mile race about a year and a half ago with my 2015 Hellcat challenger up in the Georgia mountains. It was fun but there were way too many cars to get enough runs in. Traded my Hellcat in for my 2016 F Type base. Even though there is a night and day difference in power, I get more enjoyment out of driving my F Type.

What speed did you get up to? I managed to beat a 2017 Mercedes C63 AMG, Lingenfelter C7, M5 V10 w tune, R8 V10, Cammed Procharged Camaro SS, Shelby GT500, Grand Cherokee SRT, and another FType R. Was a great time.

I did 152 mph, still rather have my F type than my Hellcat. My wife stopped riding with me until I traded it in on the F type.
