Greetings from across the pond
Been lurking on here for a few months, since purchasing the car in the picture below really. Discovered a short while ago that I have known one of the members for quite a few years (hi Mahjik!) and thought I ought to finally register an account and say "Hi". Purchased the F-Type back in March this year, just a few days before the UK went into lockdown, so I did at least have some smiles during that period. It's the P450 model in Portofino Blue with performance seats, suede roof lining and a few other small options. Been loving every second of the soundtrack but already got the itch to unleash a few more horsepower (I blame my days of Nissan 200SX ownership and the constant thirst for more power!)

Modified my Blade wheels
This is my second 2017 F-Type, my first was an almost identically equipped convertible. I never liked the dark color of the blade wheels, but since my convertible was a lease, I didn't change anything. My new (old 2017) is a coupe, so I decided to change the look of the wheels. I found a local wheel repair company, and had the OEM Blade wheels repainted in a metallic silver color. I'm attaching some pics of before and after. I realize the change may not be to everyone's taste, but it pleases me. Sorry about the garage pics, but weather didn't permit any outdoor shots right now. I left the barrel and polished rim untouched, just painted the spokes and outer portions. The OEM color hides a lot of brake dust, but I think the brighter color sets off the red much better. I'll just have to wash more often!

As received with OEM Blade wheels

Please excuse me Dave as I am not familiar with format usage. Sold a horse ranch DEEP in the Beaver Mtns of Utah...A Paiute Trail Outpost. Moved to a large town in SW Utah and took my John Deere $$ and purchased my '17 F Type! Just a dumb cowpuncher, Sir.

The pics I was referring to are at the top of this thread and submitted by the "Thread Starter" and I have little clue as to how to message him....I GIVE UP,LOL!

Thanks for the reply though, I dig this Forum.

Sparky, you can’t PM another user until you’ve made 5 (or perhaps 10) posts. Then ask the poster if you can print one of his pix. I’ve posted a zillion (roughly) pix here over the years, and don’t object if someone wants to print one. Might even give ‘em the full-rez file...

Those pics were posted over 8 years and the OP hasn’t posted anything in over 3.5 years. For all we know he/she is pushing up the daisies by now.

Thanks for that response... I thought there was a sticky topic on here concerning posting pictures/descriptions of mods one may have done, but I can't find it. Am I dreaming, or just crazy? This was the only place I found that looked like it might work to post what I did to my blade wheels. If I've posted to the wrong place, please help me out and advise where I should have posted. I read a lot of your posts, and know that you're very knowledgeable about the cars and the forum.

Thanks...

The photos in this thread are likely owned by the individual posters. You can use the forum Private Message function (PM) to ask the poster if they have larger versions of their photos they can share and give permission for you to have them turned into posters.

There are places who will take pictures and turn them into wall art/posters, like this: https://www.allposters.com/myphotos/

BTW, those initial photos are Jaguar press photos.

That looks really good, amazing how just a color change makes such a dramatic difference, not just to the wheel but the entire car as well.
