My drive home from a friends in the early morning, taken at 00:49 in the north east of Scotland. 1 week after summer solstice

 

Peterhead....Burnhaven??? Beautiful sky....ONE BELL AND ALL IS WELL, CAPTAIN!

 

 

The definition of “killing two birds with one stone?” Driving to my outstanding dealership Jaguar Land Rover Scarborough [Maine] to 1) meet esteemed F-Type member DJS while he was servicing his vehicle (smart man that DJS) and 2) getting my plastic (or whatever the f&*% they are) Ignus paddle shifters replaced with beautifully-made, and recently marked-down (to where it makes sense) aluminum paddle shifters. Definitely an upgrade!

And for the love of God, switch to When The Leevee Breaks and get to the gas station.

 

At the same excellent dealership (Jaguar Scarborough) a few days earlier getting a key fob programmed!

 

I did contemplate getting them—particularly at the recently reduced prices—but, for now, just decided to go for the aluminum paddle shifters. Good eye on the music and the gas gauge. Rarely do I let it get that low.

They are, my dear Marko, sublime! Definitely a worthwhile swap!

 

Rain is over, sun is out, car is washed and waxed - think I’ll go for a drive…

 

And possibly along the drive pick up another sticker above the drivers side vent ?
What a Magical drive that would be.
Wish I were there.

 

I think I’ll take a drive as well…..perhaps I’ll see you DJS…I know some great places to eat.

Nice start Dave. Sorry I didn’t reply sooner. The police were here questioning me about our group and something about speeding over the weekend. And that is absolutely true as I sent DJS, Mbourne, and Unhingd the photo of the Officer who came to our house. The only difference is they are a friend and were here to have a cup of coffee and discuss the event and, yes, someone calling about our hooliganism. Which is simply and unequivocally untrue. We were model citizens.

“Officer, thank goodness you are here. That other group of 18 Jaguar F-Types just passed and if you hurry I think you can catch up to them!”
