Safe trip, Vik!
He was later arrested. Has a history of wrecking every supercar he has been given. Apparently has never owned any of them. Bet he never gets another one?

I had some time to work on the damage from where my car took a shopping cart to the face. After clearing off the pollen buildup, it was worse than I first thought because there were two places.

I started with my lightest polish and the softest pad I had. Mostly gone on one place, no dice on the other. I stuck with the lightest cut polish but went to a smaller pad that was a little firmer, and then a softer one. I finished with the one I started with and now, only I can tell. I'm still not happy with the whole thing, but glad I've got the tools and had enough practice to clean it up.

I'll probably wash, decontaminate, polish, and cQuartz the whole to even things out. It's a little early for the annual treatment, but what else am I gonna do when I'm not working?

Besides that bottle of aquavit, that is.

The current record holders are unknown, travelling from the Redball Garage on the east side of Manhattan to the Portofino Hotel in Redondo Beach in Redondo Beach, a total of 2,825.3 miles (4,546.9 km) in 26 Hours 38 Minutes in April 2020. [3]The team averaged 106 miles per hour (171 km/h). The record was completed in a 2019 Audi A8L with additional fuel tanks in the rear storage. The record was set during the Coronavirus pandemic, making use of a reduction in road users.

Gumball Rally is a huge reason I like cars. That film is the best... and the Jag never gets out of the auto shop. lol

Gumball 3000 is the real race.

Gumball Rally is where I learned Rule #1 of Italian Driving. Raul Julia was great.

Rule #2 is probably "Anything you do is OK, as long as you're leaning on the horn."

I'd forgotten about the Jaguar. Might be time to rewatch it. It's been years.

Anyone have a link to this story? I'm super curious about the details!

Here is one of many stories on it. If you google it and go to news there are several others some of which talk about this guys less than stellar history with cars.

Opened this up today, for health reasons.
The CDC says you need at least 60% alcohol to fight Coronavirus, and this is 61.5%

Unpeated! Sign me up. Been looking for any excuse to make an “essential” supply run.

I’ve had that and wow it’s a treat. So different from the highlands. The antiviral properties will be a nice bonus! Now where the hell did I put my cigars?

Well today I had another “essential” requirement to drive my V8S. It was time for its annual service check, 5 years and 46k miles. Fluids replaced and refilled, wipers replaced, complete going over, filters changed throughout. Clean bill of health! This car has held up extremely well. Of course I travel across state lines to my service center and of course I took the long way there and back. Didn’t matter that it was extremely windy and only 45 degrees it was heaven. Even if the *** end had a little cold pavement induced wiggle once in a while. It’s good for this nearly stir crazy soul.

oh yah Your on. The minute the bans are lifted to move about the cabin I’m on the way even if I have to wear a mask with a hole in it for the cigar to poke through.

I don't think I've ever had an "unpeated" Islay. I've had the "regular" Caol Ila and it was a treat, but in the more traditional Islay style. I've got a small bottle of single barrel (not just single malt) I picked up on holiday in Jackson. Might need to test that for quality on Friday.

HEY! IT"S FRIDAY!

Caol Ila is peated except the occasional special release.
Bunnahabhain's core range is unpeated, as is Bruichladdich's.

So Benjamin Chen is part of goldrush Rally? I learn something new every week. I'm not familiar with that organization, so I did some research. Sounds like a very rich club. Did some looking into other rally clubs and found Crown Rally. Has anyone besides another forum member (ridicrick) been on one of their rallies?

I've seen the goldrush pass by us in Marin one AM, with their CRAZY wraps and wild behavior. I don't like to scare the locals, so I don't drive like that, but I am surprised there aren't details of officers enthusiastically pulling these guys over after tracking them. They were doing 130 on a highway people were traveling to church on at 9am. lol
