Default P0042 code-engine light on-simple O2?

P0042 appears just to be another O2 sensor issue. Just asking here to make sure it is safe to drive until I get it into the dealer. I know the O2's are covered under warranty and already had one replaced last year. But from what I see this is just an O2 sensor and safe to drive for now?

If the CEL is not blinking you're OK. If it is blinking, stop driving right away.

Thanks. Oddly it went off after a couple drives. It came on after wash in the driveway, then the next day leaving work it was off and hasn't come back on again.

In the first year or two with my car there was a software update because the fault detection on the sensors was too sensitive. Maybe yours never got that.
