P450 vs. R? Differences?
Hello all,
I haven't been in the F Type game since 2020, so hopefully performance parts are more readily available. I'm considering an AWD 2023 P450. Can I get it to the 575 with just a VAP tune, or does anybody know if there are bigger mechanical differences?
Thanks in advance,
Dan

The Jaguar F-Type P450 is really just full blown V8 supercar in a straight jacket. In pretty much every way its designed rip up the tarmac in the same was as its V8 550 and 575 brothers. But the F-Type 450 has been restrained and tied up from the factory.

If you're asking if the P450 is the same as an R (P575) with just a different tune, the answer is no, it is not. The engine difference is the tune. The rest of the difference vary from styling to suspensions components with more upgraded pieces coming stock on the R. New fromt he factory, the P450 is a great value. In the used market, the differene in the price between the two tends to get closer.
