P450 vs R
It's the same engine that's fitted to the SVR. JLR just detuned it to fill the gap that the elimination of the V6 produced. It's capable of 600BHP with just software changes.

Yes but if a simple tune is all that is needed to bring it up to 575hp... Could be a real winner long term.

The P450 was baselined by Viezu tuning and a stock vehicle ran a very impressive 480HP and over 600NM of torque! This to me implies that Jaguar is sandbagging the actual HP on the P450. It makes better sense that a tune would achieve 575 hp from their baselined 480 hp than the advertised 444/ 450.
How many P450 owners get a remap considering the engine "normally" makes 575hp?
Hello,
I did have a P450 a couple of years ago and didn't get it remapped as I felt the standard power was all I could be comfortable with on UK roads. After a short break away with a 911 AWD, I now have a AWD P450 that handles the extra stage one+ power really well. I apparently pulling F19 disables the AWD coupling and gets handling back to RWD only. At some point I may try this to see how mad 650HP through the rear wheels.
P450s are a bit of a bargain at the moment.
