Dan,

I get that. Thought I was the only person who thought paddles that stay fixed and 9 and 3 made sense. Can't chase the paddles around.

But even in the casual straight-line cruise you know you want to use paddles, but better ones than the toy-ish little factory ones. These are well worth the price.

There will be two versions offered - either Silver or Black. If you'd like a color matched or custom painted version we'd recommend doing that locally where a body shop can match the colour to your car.

Ship date is estimated at August 1st.

Have some patience, guys. You can get any two: fast, reasonably priced or of high quality...but not all three.

The pics show these with the electronics so I was assuming it was just a matter of pulling out the torx, replacing and done. There are no electronics with these just the bare metal paddle. No instructions once the paddle is off.

OK got the old paddle off via the T-20 torx, but the vertical pin .... before I do something really stupid is there a trick to this? Long nose pliers to force the pin out or push up from the bottom and hope I don't break the circuit board in the process?

Can't find any video online for Jag or LR paddle remove/replace - well there are, but the replacements have the electronics in place.

That vertical pin is a mother. Won't budge and no cotter pin that I can see.

I use a small screwdriver and a small hammer and tap them out. I've done over 40 of them and some push out easier than others. Pliers won't work until you have it most of the way out and it is held in place via friction.

Got the pin out.

Oh great there is a little spring in there that can flying out hope I can find it in the carpet.

Is this really how others received theirs? Found the little spring.

Then there is the plastic tab you can see on the stock unit, not present or movable over the the new one.

Ok reassembled. Spring is straight. Pin is in. Unit does not compressed, decompress. I can see the spring trying to do its thing. Most likely too much resistance where the pin in making contact with the hole path.

If you dont seat the pin in, it you just barely seat the top spline, it will work. I guess i'll just hope the pin doesn't just work its way out.
