Default Popping Noise?

Hi All,

Has anyone experienced popping noise from the front ends when backing out of the driveway with wheels turned or pulling forward slowly with wheels turned?

Not sure if if the colder temperature is causing this or what, my guess is this is the front suspension flexing.

Any ideas?

Thank you

Common issue with the XF and in particular the XFR with it's wider tyres, commonly known as "tyre slip". Happens most in colder temperatures such as wintertime in the UK and northern US/Canada. Yes, it is suspension related and it also varies depending on what tyres you have fitted. But that said I haven't heard about it being a problem on the F-Type before, and I'm in Adelaide Australia where it never gets cold enough for this to happen.

I used to get it in the XKR, it was the steering rack which needed tightening.

Had the same issue with the EPS on my MINI.

Had it happen this morning. 15 degrees F. Used to happen all the time in the winter with our CTS-V. It's the tires (tyres for English speakers). Nothing to worry about.
