I agree. I bought one with the sport design pack already on, and the first thing I tried to do was to wrap it in black so that the waist of the car is more visible (which I did with my missus' XE). But that was more of a production that I was expecting so I'll have to leave it to professionals, and the look is quite growing on me anyway.

But I would say that the skirts are a bit of a PITA, I kick them when I am getting out of the car. The rear valance looks great though.

 

Saturday was the first i noticed that the skirts on my 14 vert are much smaller and narrower than on the newer ones and the coupes. I don't mind my narrower ones although removing them would even improve it to my eye. Cannot fathom having the wider ones.

 

Agreed, they are a hell of a lot smaller and in black, which makes them not objectionable at all on the 14-15 V8s. The fact that you didn't even notice they were there is a good thing! :-)

 

I've just been offered a VERY good deal on a stock car AWD with loads of extras on it for £10,000 ($14,500) off list
My only problem is that it has red premium seats and I think that might be a bit much for me
Has anyone got any pictures of their red seats that they can post for me to get half of an idea of what they are like

 

Not a great picture but the only one on my computer showing the seats. I was going back and forth between this car and an orange one with black seats and the red seats sold me....

My dealer has a 2016 F-type R convertible with red interior. These pictures show it as brighter than I thought.

every monitor / screen will show it differently let alone our individual brain interpretation

 

yep, between lighting, different cameras, different monitors, perception, etc. etc. it's amazing that we can have a semi-intelligent conversation regarding color at all!

mine are far darker than what those pics suggest.

I have the two tone red/black seats. The red is best seen in person as it is a hard to convey in photos. Does the car have the extended red leather with red door panels, partial dash, etc.?

Sure; do you plan on driving in the winter? ...or maybe even spirited driving/racing in the rain? ...then the AWD has an advantage. It probably also has an ultimate performance advantage in SOME conditions... the RWD is approximately 170lbs lighter, is less complex, has less driveline losses and apparently has a larger engine oil capacity...

My car is a summer toy; didn't want AWD and am completely happy with the RWD.

I don't think there's a good reason to go w/ AWD on a V6. Moreover, you don't see much snow in the UK. The RWD is going to be more fun on the V6. We don't see very many AWD V6s in the US, and I suspect they aren't as popular as RWD.

On a V8, there's a very good argument to go w/ AWD.

I'm used to the RWD on my current car, so thats not an issue
we do get snow, but pretty rare to be honest where I am and when it does happen I have a little run around or a 4x4 volvo to play with

The AWD thats being offered has a few bits missing from it that I would like as well
