Default R model Cold Start Exhaust Comparison

I've gone from stock exhaust, stock with Valvetronic mufflers, and now VAP sports cats in front of the valvetronic
In terms of volume, I would rank them as 10, 11, and 12.5 on a scale to 10.
The valvetronic exhaust is noticeably louder inside the cabin, and gives the engine more presence when you are driving imo.
To my ear the stock cats and the valvetronic exhaust is probably the best sounding all around combo.

With the sports cats there is a crap ton more volume. Going wide open throttle with a divider or anything that will reflect sound on the left side of the car is mildly painful at full throttle with the window open.
Stock and with the valvetronic I thought nothing of running the car in dynamic most of the time.
I now default to dynamic, but close the valves.

This sound setup (valvetronic and sports cats) to me sounds best when you really are pressing on, and the rpms are up.
Before tuning the car, it even felt faster from all the extra sound I had.
The cold start sounds brutal and not all that pleasant to my ear.
But this was also a bit of what I was looking for. I wanted loud mode to be special and not the default.
When pressing on with the valves open I feel like it has elevated the setup from 'a loud and good sounding car' to 'WTF?!?!?!'
I may look into adding resonators to make the low rpm part throttle tone better, but for now I am happy with the slightly mad setup that I have.

Thanks for sharing. It’s a bit hard to notice the difference between stock and Valvetronic since I’m on my phone but the difference can definitely be heard with the sport cats! Any droning with/without the sport cats on the Valvetronic exhaust? For the money, this sounds like a great system.

I don't recall any droning with the stock cats, I haven't experienced drone with the sports cats, but the tone isn't great at low rpm, light throttle (think 2000 rpm, 10% throttle) my use of dynamic valves closed is partially to avoid this range in day to day driving.

This video is boring but should give a sense of the range of sounds with the sports cats. RPMs and volume is higher than would be the norm because I am enjoying the improved shifting with the trans tune when I shot it.
