Radiator Cap
I was checking the coolant level last night and got a surprise. Embossed on the bottom of the radiator cap was "FoMoCo". That would be the company with the blue oval logo and not the one with the growler.
I bought the car new so it had to come from the factory with that cap installed.

The engine was originally designed when Jaguar was under Ford ownershp so it made sense to use a few Ford standard bits. Your water pump will also be stamped FoMoCo (might explain why they fail so much?).
Starting in 2009 for the V8 up until 2020 the AJ133 V8 and AJ126 V6 were built at the Ford Bridgend engine plant in Wales.
JLR then shifted production to their big new plant in Wolverhampton.
At the Bridgend plant the engines were built in a separate area under an agreement with Ford and it made sense to use a lot of Ford parts but even then these were long block parts not short block parts.
Because of this and the fact that it is a 90 degree 5 litre V8 with quad overhead cams and four valves per cylinder, lots of people including motoring journalists who should know better assume the AJ133 is a Ford engine and a derivative of the Ford Coyote 5.0. No it is not, it is a completely different engine designed from the start by JLR with as far as I know zero common components with the Coyote other than maybe one or two peripheral/ancillary bits.
I don't know if JLR still uses Ford made parts stamped FoMoCo on the V8 but I'm guessing they do.
Edit - I just checked my coolant expansion tank cap and yes it has FoMoCo on the underside, but it also has "made in India", go figure!

The original 4 litre versions of the engine (Aj26, renamed AJ-V8) were built at Bridgend from 1993. And, according to Nigel Thorley, the only parts from the Ford parts bin were a woodruff key and the sump plug. I guess he didn't consider the water pump to be part of the engine .....
